About Our Business
Greenscape Lawn Service is a family owned and operated business that
has serviced the Tampa Bay area since 1992. Dave Small, a graduate of
Austin Peay University, moved to the Tampa Bay area in the 60's and
worked as a teacher and coach, as well as in the insurance industry. After
years of recognition for his beautiful yard work, he decided to go into
business for himself. He began by cutting neighbors homes in the Town
and Country area, eventually growing to include over 400 lawns on a weekly
basis throughout Hillsborough county, as well as parts of Pasco and
Pinellas counties. Dave has since also expanded the business to include
his brother Herman and son Brad.
Herman Small, received his degree in Plant Science from the University of
Tennessee. After many year's in the agriculture industry, he moved to
Florida and joined Greenscape as it expanded to create the Chemical and
Pesticides division. This division is responsible for all lawn and shrub
pest control and fertilization, as well as home pest defense. Herman has
been a Certified Pest Control Operator since 2001.
Brad Small, graduated from Florida State University in 1994 and
immediately joined the family business, first working with his father on
maintenance accounts and gradually expanding his responsibilities to
include landscaping services. Today, Brad is responsible for all the
landscape consultations and is happy to work with customers on small
mulch installations to large redesigns. He has experience working with all
types of plants, trees, sod and bedding, as well designing and building
hardscape areas from retaining walls to patios.
You will usually find these owners/operators not at their desks playing
solitaire or in lunch meetings, but out working with the crews to insure you
are receiving the best service we can offer.
